Cancellation Policy

At Sparkling Recruitment, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may require schedule changes. To ensure a fair and efficient system for both our locum professionals and dental practices, we have established the following cancellation policy:

For Dental Practices:

1. Advance Notice for Cancellations

- If a dental practice needs to cancel a locum booking, they must provide at least 2 hours notice before the start of the working day.
- Cancellations made after this period will be considered last-minute cancellations and will incur a fee.

2. Last-Minute Cancellations

- If a cancellation is made at the last minute (less than 2 hours before the start of the shift), the practice will be required to pay for 4 hours of the scheduled shift as compensation to the locum professional.

3. Minimum Booking Requirement

- All locum bookings must be for a minimum of 6 hours per shift to ensure fair scheduling and commitment.

For Locum Professionals:

1. Commitment to Bookings

- Once a locum professional accepts a booking, they are expected to honor their commitment.
- If a locum needs to cancel due to an emergency, they must provide as much notice as possible so we can arrange a replacement.

2. Failure to Attend a Booking (No-Show Policy)

- If a locum professional fails to show up for a scheduled shift without prior notice, it may result in removal from our locum network or limited future opportunities.

Additional Terms

All cancellations must be communicated via phone call or email to ensure proper record-keeping.
Repeated last-minute cancellations by a practice may affect future booking arrangements.
In cases of unexpected emergencies or force majeure (e.g., severe weather, medical emergencies), we will assess situations on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness.
